Committees can be a way to formally draw together people of relevant expertise from different parts of an organization who otherwise would not have a good way to share information and coordinate actions. They may have the advantage of widening viewpoints and sharing out responsibilities, which becomes a critical component in ensuring that all members are equally represented.
Currently, CUPE 1540 has the following active committees:
- Bargaining Committee
- Job Evaluation Committee
- Grievance Committee
The scope and details of these groups can be found in our Collective Agreement, and local by-laws. Stay tuned for more details!
